Foundations for a New Chapter

Foundations for a New Chapter

St. Luke’s has embarked on a parish-wide Foundations for a New Chapter campaign, which will enable us to:

• Build a new parish hall with new gathering and meeting spaces, the Wahlquist Garden Chapel and Plaza, and a new kitchen and elevator
• Beautify our campus through landscaping, improved signage, and paving the parking lot
• Retiring long-held debt

We are well on our way to raising our goal of $1.75MM as several parishioners have already made significant commitments to address these critical needs for our growing community.

Over the next few weeks, members of the capital campaign committee will talk to each of us about our involvement in this transformational challenge.

OUR VISION

In the past three years, St. Luke’s has experienced a 60% increase in pledging, a 25% increase in membership, and a 35% increase in average Sunday attendance. We are driven more than ever by new energy and rejuvenation. As the Lord guides us through growth, He has shown us first-hand how He uses suffering to good purpose in the rebuilding of our education building. Now we are charged with continuing to meet the challenges of tomorrow by transforming our parish campus and securing a firm foundation for the future.

1. BUILDING A NEW PARISH HALL

A new Parish Hall will replace the damaged Harman Hall, which has proudly carried our parish for over 70 years. This new Parish Hall will extend off the north side of the newly rebuilt Education Building and will include a commercial-grade kitchen to cook meals for those in need, an elevator that connects to the second floor of the education building, meeting space for our entire congregation (and projected future growth), two outdoor gathering and worship spaces (Wahlquist Garden Chapel and Plaza and Delivery Plaza), a covered drop-off entrance, reception lobby, and delivery receiving and storage solutions to meet St. Luke’s growing needs.

2. OUTDOOR CAMPUS IMPROVEMENTS

Outdoor cosmetic updates will be undertaken to further improve our campus and ensure an inviting and welcoming environment. Updates include new signage, landscaping, and repaving our parking lot.

Foundations for a New Chapter will build on the momentum already established by the rebuilding of the Education Building (pictured in dark blue). A portion of our Foundations for a New Chapter campaign will fund an entirely new project – the Parish Hall (pictured in red)
