Youth Ministries

St. Luke’s Youth ministry is structured around 1 Timothy 4:12: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” The groups learn in STUDY (Sunday School and Bible Study), SERVICE (monthly service projects and yearly mission trips) and FELLOWSHIP (monthly meals and retreats).

Confirmation Study

Grades 5 & up

August 26, 2012 – May 2013

Taught by Luke Trahan, Pat Baker, and Anna Wohlgehagen
Participants will be guided on their journey to make a mature commitment to Christ as they prepare to renew their Baptismal Covenant using “I Will, With God’s Help” by Mary Lee Wile. The outline of study will follow the six sections of the Baptismal Covenant. Included will be community building activities, prayer time, composing a communal psalm, studying Scripture, becoming familiar with the Book of Common Prayer, journaling, reflection and sharing, and group outreach activities. Members of the parish will be encouraged to mentor and support all participants.
