Youth Ministries
St. Luke’s Youth ministry is structured around 1 Timothy 4:12: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” The groups learn in STUDY (Sunday School and Bible Study), SERVICE (monthly service projects and yearly mission trips) and FELLOWSHIP (monthly meals and retreats). For more information please check out the St Luke’s FAMILY MINISTRY Blog.

The Dorothy Michaelsen Fund
The first woman in the Diocese of Dallas ordained to the clergy, Deacon Dorothy S. Michaelsen served St. Luke’s in the 1980s and 1990s as Director of Christian Education. The Dorothy Michaelsen Fund honors Deacon Dorothy’s life and work by recognizing the achievements of our youth and their accomplishments as they leave our midst and move into college life.
The St. Luke’s Youth Ensemble
This ministry allows the Junior and Senior High youth of our church to find their voices in worship. The program is currently being redeveloped to adapt to the needs of this age group. Please contact Duane Roth for more information.
Festival Singers
During the rehearsal times prior to Christmas and Easter, youth in grades 10 and above are invited to sing with the adults for special choral programs and services. Youth may sing with the adults on a regular basis after a short interview with the director. Contact Duane Roth if interested.
