Holy Week is the week preceding Easter Sunday and begins with Palm Sunday, the celebration of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, celebrated as the King, and culminating with his crucifixion, burial, and the resurrection. Christians all over the world view this as a week for fasting and meditation as we seek to share and appreciate the sacrifice our Lord made for us at Golgotha. Services are offered each day. Click here for the complete list of worship services during Holy Week.   Our traditional Sunday service is at 10:00 am. This service features a full choir and organ, with several congregational hymns and choral anthems. Following the gospel reading, children are invited to attend Children's Chapel. St. Luke's also offers a second contemporary service on Sundays, The River, which also begins at 10:00 am. This is a worship and praise service with contemporary music and a more casual atmosphere. Children are also invited to participate in Children's Chapel. Christian Education for adults, youth and children begins at 11:30 and one hour, ending at 12:30. Additional Sunday services offered at 7:30 am and 6 pm generally are smaller and, some feel, more intimate than our 10 am services. There is no music at these services. The 7:30 am service, which is held in All Saints Chapel, uses a traditional-language liturgy (Rite I) from the Book of Common Prayer. The 6 pm service, which uses a more current liturgy (Rite II), is also held in the All Saints Chapel adjacent to the main sanctuary.
