Sunday Classes for Adults

Traditional Teaching Series – Joe Morrison: From “My Goodness” to His Greatness

Time: Sunday Mornings 11:30 – 12:15
Place: St. Luke’s Healing Center

Join this small group for a chapter-by-chapter study of discipleship Matthew with the help of Bible scholars like Dietrich Bonhöeffer, N.T. Wright and Gay Cox. You read that right—we take each other just as seriously as we do the great "common 'taters" of the Bible.  Come discover what it's like to be part of an interactive, interdependent network of believers who take joy in discovering God's love, together. More than self-improvement, we want to see Christ glorified—and enjoy a good laugh—while we're at it.

Small Group Series – Joel & Dianna Hatfield

Time: Sunday Mornings 11:30 – 12:15
Place: Small Conference Room

This course includes bible study, prayer, and relationship building.  The study will follow the International Sunday School Program which for the winter quarter will focus on biblical character studies and the theme of commitment.  While targeted to couples with children; anyone is welcome.

African Bible Study Series – Fr. Robert Odom & Clayton Elder

Time: Sunday Mornings 11:30 – 12:15
Place: St. Luke’s Harmon Hall

Fr. Odom and Clayton Elder will be facilitating a Bible Study series following the “African” or “Lambeth” study method.  In this type of study, the group will listen to the reading of a selected scripture passage and then respond to and discuss what is personally significant or meaningful for each person.  This process will continue several times, with different questions being asked and information revealed to bring you into a deeper understanding of how the scripture is relevant to you in your own faith journeys.

Sunday Classes for Children & Youth

Nursery – Room 104

Our nursery program open to children birth to 3-years, shares God's love through play and activities with our littlest children. In this nurturing environment, our toddlers will be guided in making their first steps in God's kingdom.

Children's Chapel – Room 201

10:00 am Eucharist

After the gospel reading, the crucifer leads children ages 3 through 2nd grade to the Education Building, where they participate in a worship experience customized for their age group. While listening to a sermon, reciting the Apostles’ Creed, participating in the Prayers of the People, and confessing their sin, our children are able to experience Christ in a way meaningful to them. Children return to service in time for the passing of The Peace to participate in Holy Communion with their families.

Children's Christian Education

Children 3 yrs old - 6th grade meet in room 201 for a short welcome and introduction of our daily bible verse, then off to their classrooms for the lesson. Each week the children will experience the story through a different approach – including storytelling, music, art, cooking, games, movies, and drama.
